Old Leake, Midville and Stickney
A 340 acre farm in Eastville has been bought by a Cheshire-based fund. In this article from Farmers Weekly, they raise the possibility of windfarming.

The proposed windfarm lies entirely within the Parish of Sibsey and therefore East Lindsey is the Local Authority. The most easterly turbines would lie just inside the Sibsey Parish boundary. Because of this Old Leake parish council, and Boston Borough council have no involvement in the planning process, although it would be “just the other side of the fence”.
Old Leake is a big parish, about 8 miles long and two miles wide. A large area of the parish will be affected if the proposed wind farm goes ahead. Those living along Hobhole Bank will be as close or closer to the wind farm than most Sibsey residents. It is imperative that we support STOP in their efforts. If Sibsey lose this battle then we lose too !
The area of Old Leake that would be worst affected lies to the North and East of the Water Tower, as far west as Common Road, and North to Midville Road – All this area lies within about 2 miles from the nearest Turbine, and could be affected by noise. They will all get a good view of the wind farm.
STOP-TAGON has been formed to organise the support for STOP and to provide information relavent to Old Leake. We have been attending Parish Council meetings to keep the Parish Council fully up to date on events and the feelings of the residents who would be affected, as well as distributing information leaflets to houses within the 2 mile zone.
We have deployed a small number of “No Wind Farm” boards along Hobhole Bank to keep people aware that the wind farm has NOT “gone away” .
Your contacts for STOP-TAGON are:
Marlene on 01205 750271 and John on 01205 750240
both are active members of STOP’s committee and are up to date with the latest information.

Parts of Midville will be affected if this wind farm is built. We have reason to believe that if they win approval for the first 10 tubines near Sibsey, then another 5 will follow postioned on land closer to the Midville Road. We have information that enquiries have been made about land to the east of the Hobhole, this leads us to believe that if Sibsey goes ahead the whole area north of Old Leake could be affected.

Parts of Stickney will be affected if this wind farm is built. We have reason to believe that if they win approval for the first 10 tubines near Sibsey, then another 5 will follow postioned on land closer to the Midville Road. We are unaware of any Stickney based group with similar objectives to STOP, if such a group exists please contact STOP (or TAGON) so that we can present a united front.
